At the beginning of June, Delingua was granted ISO 17100 certification by the UK organisation ATC Certification.
According to the audit report, no nonconformities or development areas were found in Delingua’s translation services. The ISO 17100 standard contains requirements for all the aspects of the translation process that have a direct impact on the quality and production of translation services.
Processes and quality at the heart of the standard
ISO 17100 is an internationally recognised translation service standard that defines the requirements applicable to translation service providers concerning the management of core processes, minimum competence requirements, the availability and management of resources and other measures necessary for the provision of a high-quality translation service.
The standard thus ensures the professional and formal competence of all those involved in the translation process. The service provider also monitors the maintenance of competence. All translations undergo a bilingual check by another person and, if necessary, a separate factual check and proofreading before publication.
Promise of professional operations
ISO certification ensures that the quality management process meets the specified requirements. Quality is an important criterion for us, and the certificate is a great recognition of Delingua’s long-term work to improve its translation service process and quality.
“The certificate sets certain requirements for all the aspects of the translation process that have a direct impact on the quality of the translation. The certificate obligates us to continue to operate in accordance with certain processes and thereby gives us and our customers the promise of professional operations,” says Marika Ryynänen, Head of Operations at Delingua.
