Translation memories are translation databases in two or more languages that are always generated in connection with professional translation work. Glossaries are customer- or industry-specific termbases in at least two languages that are often used to facilitate the translation process.

When your organisation’s translation memory and glossary have been linked, they work seamlessly as part of the machine translation process. In practice, this means that if your organisation has previously had a phrase translated by us and that phrase pops up as part of a text that you have translated using LanguageWire Translate, you will get a reliable translation done and checked by a human. Ease of use

However, I would venture to say that interpreting is useful in other business-related situations, too. Even when everyone can use English – more or less fluently. Below, you will find some good reasons to arrange interpreting also for other business situations.

1. Remember that someone may genuinely need interpreting

We often assume that everyone can use at least English. However, the truth is that the ability to speak foreign languages varies just as much as the ability to do maths. The threshold for revealing your own insufficient language skills may also be high.
