The sales channel update brought with it an extensive amount of translation of new content. Delingua has translated many kinds of materials into Swedish and English: texts for the VR Matkalla app, content for the new vr.fi website, UX texts guiding the customer in the online shop, ticket vending machine texts and other content associated with VR’s new sales channels, such as new email templates.

“We have cooperated in this project for a couple of years now and, during this period, Delingua has translated an enormous amount of content for us. We launched the cooperation by going through our terminology and tone of voice together, after which there has been a wide variety of translation assignments,” says Content Strategist Jutta Kupias. The main challenge in new content creation is finding a balance between clarity and the new, more relaxed tone of voice.

With the sales channel update, VR took a leap from the old tone of voice towards clearer, more relaxed language. “The shop’s purchase path texts must be concise and clear, and the app texts must be relaxed and as short as possible. On the other hand, on content pages, such as the page targeted at families with children, the content must be both clear and compliant with our new tone of voice, guiding and delighting the customer.”
