Today, everyone is talking about AI. However, it has been utilised in translation and localisation services for quite some time. In recent years, the use of AI has increased dramatically and customers have also realised its potential in multilingual content production.
This is the reason we wanted to organise our first customer event under the LanguageWire brand on artificial intelligence. To our great delight, a large number of customers and others interested in AI attended our event on 21 March 2024. Mikkel Lundø, Chief Commercial Officer at LanguageWire, and Pasi Savola, Documentation manager at LanguageWire’s client Konecranes, gave presentations at the event.
LanguageWire and AI
LanguageWire’s Mikkel Lundø discussed the development of AI in the language service industry and LanguageWire’s own AI applications in his presentation. LanguageWire has been studying AI for years and is also extensively utilising AI in its own language management ecosystem – and there is more to come! Creative AI applications, such as LanguageWire Generate, drew a lot of attention among customers.
Konecranes’ AI plans
Konecranes’ Pasi Savola is a veteran of technical documentation, who has followed the development of the industry closely. In addition to the presentation of operations at Konecranes, it was interesting to hear the plans and dreams Pasi and Konecranes have regarding AI and technical communications. Pasi also has personal experience of using LanguageWire Translate, which many participants were interested in hearing about.
