Conference interpreting is organised for multilingual meetings where participants include representatives of national governments, international organisations or NGOs, for instance. In business life, conference interpreting is needed for events such as annual general meetings, European Works Councils (EWC) and various negotiations, seminars and training events.
Conference interpreting can be either simultaneous or consecutive interpreting. The optimal interpreting method depends on the event type, the number of participants who need interpreting services and the interpreters’ working environment, among other factors.
