Independent market research company CSA Research has ranked Delingua as the 20th largest language service company in Northern Europe. The language services and technology industry includes more than 27,000 players worldwide. This is the fourth consecutive year that Delingua has been listed among the 30 largest language service providers in Northern Europe. Delingua has improved its ranking year after year.
This is a tremendous achievement, as the study also includes the United Kingdom and Ireland, which are major countries in the language service sector. The sector is highly fragmented and not many translation agencies grow larger than a micro-enterprise. The ranking reflects Delingua’s long-term work and our ability to continuously develop our service, which is also supported by the customer feedback we receive.
The rankings on the list are based on turnover in 2021. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the current world political situation and the global economic outlook, the sector is doing relatively well, with the language service and language technology markets expected to continue to grow in the coming years, too.
The language industry is here to stay and will only continue to grow. “People worldwide prefer consuming information in their own language. Meeting this expectation fuels an indispensable multi-billion-dollar industry of language service and technology providers that keeps growing to support global digital transformation, help companies and governments improve customer experience, and respond to continuing globalization,” says Dr. Donald A. DePalma, CSA Research’s Chief Research Officer.
CSA Research’s global market study ranks 171 of the world’s largest language service providers in order of turnover. This is already the 18th year that CSA has conducted its large-scale study.
