At this time last year, when we were looking forward to 2022 and finally some relief from the prolonged turmoil of the coronavirus, we had no idea what new sorrow – a war almost in our neighbourhood – the year would bring. The coronavirus is something we may have learned to live with, but we must never get used to war.
Our thoughts have been with our Ukrainian friends and colleagues throughout the year. We support Ukraine, for example, through Clear Global, whose central mission is to provide people with reliable information in their own language.
In difficult times, the importance of communication increases. Unexpected situations and urgent communication needs have been particularly present in Delingua’s daily life. This year, we have been able to help a record number of new customers through our language services, and our range of language services has also expanded, partly due to the prevailing situation in the world.
Delingua x Turku
Despite the global situation, the year has also brought us plenty of joy. The greatest source of joy for us as a company this year has been the opening of our new office in Turku. Although the opening in March seems a lifetime ago, Turku and our colleagues there have become a part of Delingua.
Our Turku office is located in ElectroCity, Turku Science Park. ElectroCity itself is a nostalgic place for many of the Delingua team. At the beginning of the millennium, it housed the Department of Linguistics and Translation of the University of Turku.
Delingua x customers
Every year, we carry out an extensive satisfaction survey among our customers. This year, nearly 400 customers responded to the survey, giving us valuable feedback and good development suggestions. I would like to thank all those who responded, because only through feedback can we learn to understand our customers’ needs and develop our services.
Moreover, our customers thought that we differentiated ourselves in terms of the quality of our customer service, our punctuality and our open and predictable pricing. Our competent personnel also received praise in particular: the personal touch in our customer service, the readiness to serve and good customer experience all came up frequently in the responses we received.
This year, we have had the pleasure of once again meeting many customers face to face. Every encounter has been meaningful to us. We especially remember our customer events in Helsinki and Turku, where after several years of isolation there was a great feeling of celebration.
